In what way do media and advertising work together?

Billboards, television commercials, even little glimpses of products in our favorite movies are part of advertising. Advertising has grown to become an important part of our society. It is defined as the vehicle that provides information and rationales to help people decide how to enjoy their prosperity. I feel without mass media there would be no advertising. Advertising also helps mass media by sponsoring and channeling money to the television station or to the newspaper where the ad is being displayed. However, the largest parts of advertising are through mediums that our society uses everyday. Our society is constantly watch television or browsing the Internet. Advertising uses these medias to display their products. Whether the audience is aware or not, the audience is being influenced to take time and notice the product. For example, a television commercial could have a catchy tune. The audience remembers the tune, notices the product, and if possible buys the product next time they see it in the store. Mass media helps the promotion of products, which in the end is financially benefitting.
