Mass media plays a huge role in society and has impacted it in many ways. Media is everywhere and it is 24/7, so whether it is consciously or subconsciously, media is affecting society. Media is used as the key form of communication in the world today. Communication is done through the newspaper, television, texts, blogs, and internet. Through all this, society is constantly changing and bustling based on the latest news. Without those forms of mass media, communication would be very difficult. Society is now dependent on mass media. Unfortunately, children spend as much time watching television as they do sleeping. There are less kids playing outside and more watching television or talking to friends on instant messengers. Also, television exposes children to different values. Without tv, when kids were growing up, they’d learn from their parents and siblings, and then in school. Now kids learn from what is on tv, whether it is good or bad, such as violence. Mass media has influenced everything and everyone in society whether is likes it or not.
