In what ways do media and advertising work together?

The media is a place where anyone can publish their opinions, beliefs, preferences, or any information whatsoever.  Advertising gives companies the chance to promote themselves through the media.  The media often relies on advertisers for a large part of its funding.  Advertisers want to use the media to promote their products because they know it is a good way to market their company.  The media often influences society and many people rely on what the media broadcasts.  Advertisers want to create original, stand-out ads in order to persuade potential consumers.  Also, advertisers place their ads in certain media because they want to appeal to particular groups of people.  Children, for example, are more likely to watch the television rather than read magazines, so advertisers will create child-friendly commercials for child-orientated stations.  The media and advertising work together because the media publishes information and during commercials, they allow time for advertisers to publish their ads in hopes to capture the attention of people in order to promote their companies.  The media gives companies a chance to advertise and convince people that their product or service is the best.  Advertisers depend on the media to promote their ads; without the media, advertisers would have no way of publicizing their company’s product and without advertising, the media would have trouble financing themselves.  Media and advertising work together to appeal to the public because they depend on one another to stay in business.
