Public Relations

Public relations is used many ways as a persuasive tool for communications and business. Because public relations is all about the companies image, it helps to direct buyers in the right direction, towards a company they choose. A companies image is everything; it speaks to the product the deliver, the image and social status behind it. Public relations is excellent for promotion, lobbying, crisis fixing, and political navigation. Because there are so many demographics a company needs to appeal to, often times PR reps will find ways for companies to communicate with different demographics, helping the companies sales an revenue. Lobbying, or helping to turn a product into an idea can be used very effectively as well. Often times this can result in a product becoming the face of a trend or movement, which can obviously help both a companies image and sales. Especially now that mass media is so prevalent in our lives, connecting through media and technology is extremely important. It takes communication from a less personal level to a more personal level through facebook, TV, movies and music, Being constantly connected allows for a large amount of exposure, and the right PR rep can really help a company by providing this exposure in a smart, appealing way.
