technology dependence

Technology dependence defines our society. We are completely dependent on the technology we are accostomed to in order to live our lives the way we are accustomed to. If we were to wake up tomorrow and there was no internet, television, or cell phones we would not know what to do. Many people would not even be able to do thier jobs or schoolwork. People have a personal dependence on technology, but mass communication also has a strong dependence on technology. Without our current technology it would be impossible to communicate the way we are accustomed to. We would not be able talk to relatives living far away. We would not be able to recieve breaking news on a hurricane or war just by turning on the television. In our daily lives, the majority of our day is spent using some sort of technology. If for some reason all technology failed tomorrow, classes would be canceled, there would be riots and people would not know what to do. Although we have a very strong dependence on technology and tis does cause some probles, i do not necessarily think it is a bad thing. It is a product of our evolving society. we may be a little too dependent on te technology we have, but i do not see our technology disappearing anytime soon and it is going to continue to evolve and enhance our lives. Our technology has the aility to send out mass warnings through the news, saving peoples lives. So although we are probably a little too reliant on the technology we have, our technology dependence is a part of life and will continue to grow.
