With blogs, the news is no longer appeared as objective; so many people blog about certain news topics. Blogs allow individuals to reply or communicate about news directly to mass audiences. These blogs, however, in my mind belong in the editorials section of a newspaper. Although blogs will and can help readers understand certain news topics, most are very opinionated, that’s what makes blogs so unique compared to any typical news story. So if you’re looking for people who feel what you do about the next election or about Monday night football, then blogs are helpful and fun to read.
The internet, however, has pros and cons when it comes to how news is reported. It must be a common agreement that it is more convenient to go on your computer, when you have the free time, and look up some recent news articles rather than waiting for Sunday’s paper or watching the six o’clock news. However, some may argue that the news online is not as in depth as those stores on the news. Of course it’s cheaper to read the New York Times online rather than paying for the actual newspaper. But sometimes evens both the internet and newspapers do not cover as much as television news programs so. Some people would rather a visual to get the full effect of a story. Besides, sometimes news media online doesn’t even include the topic news stories because they want you to go out and by their newspapers or magazine.
News is reported differently depending on where you look for it; you just have to find which style you prefer and enjoy.
