How have blogs and the Internet changed they way is reported?

Firstly, many media industries such as the newspaper and the magazine industry have dropped dramatically because of the Internet. People stopped buying daily newspapers or weekly magazines. Instead they found all the news they wanted on the Internet. With the creation of search engines such as Google and yahoo, we can browse for all sorts of information on the web. This changed news reporting remarkably because reporters no longer have the power to unify people’s opinion about a single news story like they used to. The Internet offers thousands of diverse sources all with different versions and visionsThis leads us to the next point. Blogs are web-logs usually created by one person and focus on a personal point of interest. People can post whatever they want on their blogs and users can mistake that knowledge for correct and liable information.

This creates online news that is false or very subjective and people end up reading it. The Internet and blogs have changed news reporting because there is no single strong reliable source and anyone can reach a Mass audience whether they have journalistic skills or not.
