Blogs and internet have definitely changed the way media is reported. Since people can just read news via the internet and blogs, why would they bother buying newspapers and magazines? Therefore, the print industry is struggling. Also, the internet, in today’s society, is so accessible. Internet can be accessed through any computer, iPod, or cell phone; where ever there is wi-fi or a cable connection. In addition, newspapers as a news source don’t always tell you what you want to hear or what you’re interested in hearing. On the internet, you can search for and read specifically what you are interested in. It is great because it is so convenient and accessible, but you lose the physical touch and feel of the newspaper. With reading the newspaper that ended up on your front porch everyday, the whole town knew the hot topics and could hold many conversations. Internet has so much information and stories and articles that people become overwhelmed with news. That is also why so many people write blogs, to share their opinions and report what they want others to read.
