How has mass media technology changed the way audiences are entertained?

Mass media technology has changed the way audiences are entertained by being available wherever and whenever a person wants. I don't believe that entertainment is as valued as it was in past decades. Before all of these advancements people would be the entertainers by telling stories to each other, creating games and playing their own music. Entertainment was more personable and had more of a sentimental value. Today media technology is everywhere and people could not imagine a life without being able to access it at anytime they want. Some people say that the effects of the advanced media technology has had a negative impact on the entertainment being produced and others say that it has united people by having social communication available at any time and any place. Overall media technology has changed significantly because it has become apart of a persons everyday life. It is something we depend on. In the past people were more personable with their production and today it seems like anyone can create entertainment. We are now consumers and producers of media, and it will continue to grow as technology continues to advance.
